Building a digital home for an established research, strategy, and marketing firm. HCP Associates brings research-led consulting, strategic planning, and marketing together for organizations across the private, nonprofit, and public sectors. I worked on the website implementation using WordPress, Elementor Pro, custom post types (CPTs), Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and animation. The goal of the web build was to present a substantial body of work in a clear, maintainable experience rather than a collection of disconnected pages.

The challenge: communicate depth without creating complexity

HCP’s work spans several disciplines and audiences. A prospective client may be exploring the firm’s research capabilities, looking for strategic support, reviewing marketing execution, or examining relevant case studies. The website needs to make those paths immediately understandable while keeping the firm’s connected approach visible.

An established organization also has a growing record of work, leadership information, perspectives, and news. That content cannot remain easy to maintain if each new case study or announcement depends on building a standalone page from scratch.

My approach: reusable content and a cohesive frontend

1. A custom Elementor Pro website

I used Elementor Pro to implement the website’s page layouts and reusable visual structures. The presentation balances larger editorial statements with more detailed consulting information, making room for both a strong first impression and deeper service explanations.

Responsive layouts help maintain a clear hierarchy across desktop and smaller screens. The objective was not just visual consistency, but giving visitors obvious routes to explore capabilities, relevant experience, and contact information.

2. Structured content with CPT and ACF

A central engineering requirement was support for repeatable material such as case studies, news, and other editorial entries. I worked with custom post types and Advanced Custom Fields to structure content that can be presented through reusable templates and listings.

That separation between content and layout reduces repetitive page-building work. Editors can maintain project summaries and article information as structured entries, while the website presents them consistently across indexes and detail pages.

3. Case-study discovery and content navigation

The public Case Studies area showcases work across business, nonprofit, government, and public-private contexts. Visitors can browse examples and use sector or practice-oriented discovery to find engagements that are relevant to their interests.

The archive-to-detail experience illustrates why structured publishing matters: a growing collection of client work can remain consistent while allowing each individual engagement to tell its own story.

4. Motion and interaction

I incorporated animation and interactive transitions into the frontend implementation. Motion supports changes in emphasis and helps the website feel responsive to visitor actions, while the content and navigation remain the primary focus.

These interactions belong within the overall design language rather than functioning as decoration that competes with essential information. The aim is a considered, professional experience appropriate for a consulting firm.

5. Clear service, leadership, and enquiry journeys

The main information architecture gives Research, Strategy, and Marketing distinct destinations while showing how the disciplines connect. About and leadership content establish the people behind the firm; the newsroom and thinking sections provide ways to follow its ongoing work.

Calls to action and the contact experience create a practical route from discovering HCP’s services or past engagements to beginning a conversation.

The implementation result

The live website brings together consulting service pages, company and leadership information, a searchable body of case studies, editorial content, and enquiry paths within a unified WordPress experience.

My case-study scope is the website implementation, structured content architecture, and animation work. HCP Associates’ research, strategy, consulting, client engagements, and reported campaign outcomes are the firm’s own work; I am not claiming to have delivered those consulting services or asserting traffic and conversion improvements without supporting measurements.
